Memoirs is a professional editing, writing and publishing company dedicated to producing professional biographies of the highest quality.

MEMOIRS - A TEAM YOU CAN WORK WITH

Our Terms

Based in The Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, we have provided help and guidance for many individuals and organisations keen to record their life stories, family histories or business stories.

We work in an open and approachable way, to ensure that the process of bringing your story to life is an enjoyable and rewarding one.

So many of us have led interesting and colourful lives - yet unless we make the conscious decision to record our memories while we still can, they will be lost forever.

The team at Memoirs is led by Tony Tingle, who has over 25 years’ experience in the publishing, print and communications industry. He was formerly a director of Eaglehead Publishing, a specialist publisher of trade magazines particularly aimed at the print industry, and a publisher of technical books about print and print management.

Chief editor Chris Newton is a published author with more than 30 years' experience as a professional writer and journalist.  Publications include Hugh Falkus - A Life On The Edge (Medlar Press), declared by The Independent on Sunday to be one of the best biographies of 2008.  TV presenter and writer Fiona Armstrong called it "an excellent and beautifully-written book, full of passion, humour, sadness and drama”.  Recently Chris has co-researched and written Golden Game Fair, a history of the CLA Game Fair published to mark its 50th anniversary, with a foreword by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.

Chris' experience in interviewing and gathering interesting information and his skill at writing and storytelling are a key part of the Memoirs service.  He is adept at matching his writing style to the subject and the wishes of the client.
