Memoirs Books will:
You have agreed to give us your full co-operation in developing the text of the book and to work with us exclusively.
Timescale
Memoirs books will complete the manuscript with 1 month, subject to receiving the necessary contributions and approvals from yourself during the intervening period (and to our receiving payments as per schedule). We will then deliver the first copies of the book to you within 2 months.
Costs
Fees apply for producing the first manuscript, the amount which will be agreed with you before starting work. The charge for designing and printing the book is to be agreed separately due to the unknown number of pages, book format and type and other factors such as design approach and number of copies required. The fee will be our full and final costs relating to writing the manuscript, unless the scope, or length of the book should be changed by yourself, or you require substantial changes which cannot be categorised as corrections.
Payment
We require you to pay us an amount agreed (the fee), on return of a signed copy of our contract and a further amount agreed when the manuscript is completed. The balance of the production costs (as defined by the estimate which will follow) will be due on delivery of the printed book.
Reprints
You may order further copies of the book from us at any time at a cost price to be agreed, for resale by yourself. This may enable you over time to recoup some of the costs of producing the book.
Rights
Once the contract has been paid in full you will own the full rights to the book and no copies may be printed or sold without your permission. The book will automatically be subject to copyright and no-one will be entitled to reproduce any part of it without your permission.
Confidentiality
We will not share the contents of the book with any third party prior to publication without your permission.
We have agreed to work with you to produce a book about your personal experiences or your particular requirements such as novel, poetry or textbook. You will be the principal author and the book will be your copyright. We will be your co-author and adviser, and we will take responsibility for all design and production of the book. The publisher will be Memoirs Books.
